Ok so you have a new fancommunity, sooner or later *someone* with a penis winds up in a dress. right? .... well in my experience anyways

Haha, yeah, it's too bad the artist is such a douchebag. One of maybe two or three whole people in this fandom that when I see something is by them, I just close the tab and move on.
It really pissed me off when I found this out, too, because I really like her art. But the artist is just too fucking nuts for me.
Uh. really? i... haven't spoken to the artist actually...
i just really liked their art a lot.
...i was in Harry Potter fandom for maaaany years and i am still firmly in DC fandom... and i can tell you that fandom attracts all *kinds* of both interesting and fucked up people. MOST of whom don't actually get along at all!
i am something of a hermit who doesn't write so.. i rarely have issue of running into too much of someone's issues. thankfully.
Dragon Age is actually a very nice fandom once you know where the puddles to not step in are. I only ever had one talk with her and it was plenty.
There's a whole crowd of people out there in the fandom I won't go near, but only two in the Zevran sphere I actually dislike so much. He mostly only attracts the mellow ones who've gone through some shit in their time, because the rest get bounced off his act.
It's kind of nice, really. He does a lot of the filtering for us. :P
...but then DA2 hit and now everyone's mixed up with everyone else again. DA2 sub-fandom, I'm a lot more wary of.
*laaaaaughs* filtering. yeah i guess that *is* an excellent way of putting it.
for me its always the survivalist kink...
i am nearly tempted to ask who the other person who offended you so is... and why.
The characters in DA2 didn't do it for me so much. none of them where simpatico enough.... for all that there were a few well developed ones. At the end, i just wanted to throw Hawke into whatever little cottage at the end of the world the Warden ended up with with Zevran, and never mind the occasional visits from Alistair. Because really... where do you go after that kind of notoriety *and* loss

Yeah, I liked Fenris enough that I'll be dragging him into Silver and Scarlet, though I think that's as much liking the idea of his head exploding around Tannusen as anything. That combo... I can't resist shoving them in a room and seeing who comes back out. XD
The fandom is great if you know where to go and where to avoid, I'll risk wank raining down from on-high from his fans by saying that the Alistair-specific parts tend to be the craziest. I like the character fine, but his fanclub... mh, well, let's just say there are a lot of cookie-cutter Queen Couslands out there. And I don't just mean their Wardens. :P
Sometimes i can't for the life of me make up my mind about Fenris. He is like... a Zevran (for the lack of a better comparison) who got broken or was too stubborn to learn to survive without getting too damaged. I both like him and admire him for not breaking completely, and at the same time his temper tantrums and broodish brood get on my nerve. I *would* actually like to see what you would do with him given a room, a Tannusen and a locked door. I also ... have trouble imagining him interacting with Zevran. Though i would really like to see it believably done

Eh, I relate to Fenris since I still brood and gnash my teeth over shit I got away from three years ago. I admire Zevran and wish for his coping mechanism, but both of them are pretty real to me. There's a reason I don't write happy-happy normal people, haha.
I drew some Zevran/Alistair! And the one "flamewar" I've had on Deviant Art ever of course took place in the comments on it, thanks to an Alistair fan bashing Zev. Sigh.
Hrm, there's Shades of Grey if you haven't seen it yet. I'm sure there's others I'm just not thinking of at the moment that I've seen before, but I'll kick links your way if I stumble over them later. I don't read a whole lot of fic these days, though I enjoy the company of a lot of awesome writers on BSN.
*Hee* i recced Shades of Grey. I keep updating that particular post - mostly so i don't lose the links of the fics i love - to me the most hilarious thing is that i find a fic, read it, love it, send feedback for it and only *then* realize it was done by you. >< .....i can be slow sometimes yes. so if you find me spamming you in box... this is why. i... am sorry? um. yes
