Woke up late-ish today, and skipped my work-study job >again< (grr).
Finally mailed Jim's package, which only cost 24 bucks-- a lot less than I expected. The box contains his PS2, about 15 games, his hitch-hiker's guide collection, and somewhere in the vicinity of 10 or 15 DVDs, so I insured it for up to $300, which probably wouldn't even cover everything in the event of loss... it better not get lost or I will go postal on the postal service. I sent it priority mail, too, so if it doesn't get there in one piece people will die.
Went to the Waterfront to meet up with Lena and her plethora of people to see Serenity which was excellent. I haven't seen the firefly series, so I didn't appreciate it as much as everyone else did, but I highly recommend it. Joss Whedon is the man, so go see it.
Something bad: On my way to the waterfront (around 6:30PM) the intensity of the sun mingled with my peaking stress (for lo, I had taken a wrong turn on my way to the waterfront and was quite discombobulated)and I rear-ended a shiney Saturn Something-or-other. The lady was very nice about it, and the damage was minimal (a tiny nick about the size of my thumb nail), but she took down my insurance info "just-in-case."
Le-sigh. Have I mentioned I've been feeling particularly graceless as of late?
After the movie I departed, went to Barnes and Noble and purchased a planner (if I remember to use it, maybe I'll stop forgetting to remember things), and came home... Mike and I kicked around the idea of going to Pegasus for a while, but I decided I don't feel quite like dancing tonight. Or doing much of anything, for that matter. I had intentions of cleaning earlier, but I think I'll put that on hold until tomorrow.
I desperately need to get back into the swing, now...
In the meantime, back to the old new tradition:
And the ZobQ of the day is:
Would you rather have the CIA after you, or have the Mafia after you?
Hmmm... both are all-powerful, and probably equally relentless... definitely the CIA. I have a feeling death would be slightly less immediate (unless they were to snipe me, in which case it would be less excruciating). I should hope it would involve some sort of long, grueling interrogation regarding some awful and unlawful government operation I'd caught wind of, and organized a large movement against. Yeah, that would actually be pretty neat. I'd feel much more important being hunted down by the CIA than by the Mafia. Sure, CIA it is.
