Admiral! A request, sir...though not humble one, but I would have you hear it anyway. Might we go to The Blazing World the next time we disembark? We venture to so many places, each more strange than the last, so why not a new world? There are such beasts, sir -- bear-men and fox-men and bird-men, and all of them speak and are civil! Why, the ape-men will speak at length on philosophy, and worm-men of chemistry and science!
Would you not like to speak to worm-men of chemistry?
And the stars shine so brightly in the Blazing World that there is little need for daylight. There is a city of gold too, named Paradise, where a wise and fair Empress rules with her adoring husband.
They called the woman who wrote of this place mad, but I think her brilliant. Surely, if those who called her mad could see what we see here on the Barge, and witness what we have witnessed, then they would not think her deranged!
...they might think themselves deranged instead, but that is a different matter entirely.
[Private to Mal]
Would you like to take a trip to the library with me?
[Private to Sexby]
There are serious matters that we must discuss, sir.
brave new world,
back before fun was invented,
olde timey bidness,
so very mad
