Seeing as how nothing terribly exciting has happened in the last few days, I figured I'd combine all the stuff into one big post. There's some ok things, but nothing out of the ordinary for me.
Side note: I want a new lj icon, one that’s cute but not animated. Any suggestions for websites?
Ok, so the last post I did was Sunday. Lets see… Monday I slept a lot, and finished the book I was reading, “Ready or Not” by Meg Cabot (2nd book in the American Girl series of hers… the main character is a 16 yr. old named Samantha heheh). Tuesday I don’t think I did anything… oh I remember! I cleaned the kitchen and on Wednesday I did all of my ironing, that took forever. Yesterday I finally did something out of the house. My grandmother called my dad and asked if we were up to going to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes since my great Auntie Sasha is leaving Saturday morning. Now, no one ever has to ask me twice about eating at Sweet Tomatoes, especially if someone else is buying. So we had a nice time for dinner, did all the hugs and “have a good trip”s and came home to walk the dogs.
We got halfway around the park, and a car parked near us and a lady got out. She apologized for stopping and said that she loved basset hounds and couldn’t pass up not petting them. Turns out she lives just down the street from us and has (or had, I couldn’t tell) a basset hound named Sam (yay! Good name choice)
Anyway, we got home and Heather called and we went to Applebee’s, because she finally had a night where she didn’t need to do a lesson plan for the next day. She had THREE mucho-sized drinks… good lord. When I got home, I read some fan-fics for a while (I know, something I used to do in high school, but I like it, and I’d rather read than watch T.V. anyway. Then I started reading “Lies My Teacher Told Me.” Did you know that Helen Keller was a socialist and an outright activist against Woodrow Wilson? Definitely something my teachers never told me. After I finish this book, I’ll be tackling “Working At Play: A History of Vacations in the United States” - seems interesting.
Today was nothing special. I slept ‘til noon, got up and read some more fan-fics. Then we went to Ruby Tuesday’s for dinner. We made plans for the dogs to stay during the day at the new Petsmart down near the Tucson Mall that has a doggy daycare in it so that my parents could take me up to Phoenix so I don’t have to drive and risk bothering my rib. My dad is going to drive my car, and my mom will dive the van, and I’ll probably ride with her and let my dad experience the only car out of the three that has a cd player. That will be coming up on Tuesday. They’re coming up also because my mom wants to go to the Chandler mall, so helping me out is an excuse for her to shop. Fine by me, I get a free lunch out of the deal. Josh has the day off that day, so after we do lunch and shop a bit, I’ll go to Josh’s and my parents will go back down I-10 and see if they can beat a wind storm on the freeway, since they’ve been happening randomly with the weather. So I’ll have a day and a half in Phoenix (Gilbert) and we’ll probably hang out with friends, maybe hit up a bar or a bar and grill, hit the spa, etc etc. We will leave for Flagstaff on Thursday at like 7 in the morning (blech).
As of this moment, I am helping sort stuff for the yard sale tomorrow, we have so much stuff, it’s gotta go. I brought home all these clothes that don’t fit my fat butt anymore, or that shrank in the industrial dryers up at school, so hopefully those will be gone… three or so bags of clothes, just from me. Not to mention all the clothes that my mom can’t wear or doesn’t want to wear. Then there’s all the stuff that was in our jacket closet, and the spare bedroom, and in my room, and everywhere. We’re even getting rid of some patio furniture. Too much stuff, but of course, I want more shoes, and more cute clothes, but to me, that’s the point of a yard sale, I out grew it, now I want it gone, and I want new stuff to replace it.
Ok, time to sort.
Laters.
