That sounds strange, I know. You see, I am just finishing up my master's degree. My grandparents-in-law asked if I was done with my final project, which I am. But I'm still working on one more class. It's a teeny bit complicated. So to make it easy I just told them I was done with the degree altogether, and told them we'd celebrate when I get my actual diploma in August or I get to walk in December. That's another issue for another day...
So my dear husband gets the mail today and there's a card there from said grandparents-in-law. Addressed to me. Not the dear hubby, just me. Needless to say, he was very curious. I open it up and there is a very sweet card telling me how proud they are, yada yada yada. And a $100 gift certificate to Nordstroms. Awesome, right?
Except I don't ever shop at Nordstroms. I'm usually a Target or Mervyn's girl myself. I wouldn't even know where to begin at Nordstrom, nor do I even know how far $100 would even go there. My impression is that it might get me one arm of a shirt or the pocket of a pair of jeans. So now I have to go to Nordstrom (in my Target clothes) to find something to buy. I guess there are worse problems to have. Anyone wanna join me?
