YES. We're back! Even if it is for your joy or dismay, we come back to you with the second edition of our monthly collumn. We hope you'll enjoy it. Guess what's coming....
Euge - Well, this is Euge again and you've guessed it right. It's That Time Of The Month again, the time of the month where you get utterly bored by our randomness. Today we decided to talk about a topic at random (talk about randomness xD). We spun a wheel with words and phrases and the one that came on was "angry", so this edition we will be talking about our anger.
Well, I must admit I'm not much of an angry person, but there are some things that just get on my nerves, and that, dear readers, is double standards. I mean, why is it that when a girl sleeps around she is a slut, and if a boy does the same he is a winner? And it's not like I'm annoyed by that because I'm a girl. I'm even bothered by the ones that have nothing to do with me, like for example this one time that my father took my boyfriend/fiancee and I to church with him. Personally, I'm not much of a church goer myself; I'm more of a pro-God but anti-church kind of erson, but this time I was particularly annoyed by the priest, who was all up in arms against same-sex marriage --which, by the way, is legal here-- but that sort of didn't condemn as much premature sex and stuff (especially amongst the members of the church). But the thing is that this is terribly unfair, since it's practically the same.
So, that really upset me, even if I'm not directly prejudiced by it. Needless to say, I swore not to go to that church ever again.
Naty - Oh my, Euge! You'd better not go to that church ever again... Oh wow. And I know what you mean, double standards are one of the things I hate the most. Congrats on your almost-engagement, by the way! :P For our readers, Euge and her boyfriend Santi have been considering getting engaged, and he said he's gonna propose some time soon!! CHEERS FOR MY BFF AND HER BF, PLEASE! n_n Wooooooooooooot! *throws confetti in the air*
Okay, now, moving on to what angers me the most. I've been thinking about this for a while now, and the list is growing and growing. It goes from little things like hitting my little toe against my furniture to people who are utter racists or homophobes. But I think I'm going to talk about people who use others for their own benefits and then throw "you're not welcome here anymore" glances at them. I do have a very clear example.
About two months ago, this guy asked me out. I'd been talking to him through FaceBook quite a lot, and I could tell he was a huge Potterhead as well as a funny dude, so I said yes. He invited me to his place (strike #1) to watch a movie and for tea. Quite random. I liked that. So I went to his house, and he excused himself and got to work some while I fooled around with his Ipad (strike #2). Then, when he finally stopped working, he came to lay on the bed with me, and we began watching the movie. Mid-scene, he kissed me, so I kissed back... things got steamy, blah-blah-blah, we had some fun... And before we even really did anything, he stopped kissing me, went back to watching the movie and observing me from the corner of his eye, he asked me when I was leaving. AND, STRIKE THREE IT IS! He practically used me and kicked me out!! Obviously, I left and never talked to him again. Not even to thank him for the tea bag he gave me as a souvenir.
In any case, what is something that angers you, dear readers, quite a lot? Something that leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, or that makes you want to punch someone in the face?
