9 months old

My poor sweet 9 month old has had a rough couple of weeks...a double ear infection and a virus that woke him last Saturday with a fever of 103.6! Was probably roseola (sp?) as a few days later he had a distinct rash. Luckily, at his nine month appt yesterday he looks great..weighing in at 23 lbs, 3.5 oz, 29 inches long, and a head circumference of 17 7/8. And his ears look great, Dr. Binder was very happy!

Some things I want to remember right now:
* he has been saying mama and dad for a while now, but yesterday, it seemed like he really knows what they mean...not sure what age that happens...but he seems to acknowledge both of us. Pretty cool.
*he loves to rub his head against the hardwood floor, and the back of his high chair...too cute.
*when he falls asleep at night, he "swishes" the sheets by rubbing one arm back and forth..it's so cute!
*we have started some stage 3 foods and puffs..and he was gagging a lot which freaked me out..but we just finished lunch and he had some stage 3 fruit and puffs and seems to be getitng the hang of it. Hopefully the texture adversion will fade soon.
*he is a crawling machine...every day his crawl is stronger and stronger...which means less time for me to sit down!! It is amazing to see the development!

And now, he's done playing with his empty bowl and spoon and the bathtub is calling his name! Time for some bubbles, toys and splashing!!
