My final exams (last one before I finally graduate!) are on, so you're not going to see much from me other than this post for a while. I hope you all do well while I'm gone, and wish me luck~! \(^o^)/
In other news, I have another piece of art to share~! I drew it just yesterday, and I'm more or less okay with how it turned out. :) And it's colored!
WARNING: Spoilers for The Path ahead. Also, really long explanation.
Explanation copy-pasted from dA because I still have to study:
"I've been going into my The Path groove again lately, and I've been spending the past few days searching for stuff related to it and watching playthroughs and such. One day, while I was listening to some of the tracks on the soundtrack, I suddenly got an idea to draw this. And, it's colored~!
I'm not exactly sure if Sakura would be the perfect fit for the character of Rose. For one thing, I think Sakura is much more level-headed than Rose, and it's not just because of age difference (with Sakura being more or less physically an adult while Rose is just eleven); more of because Rose has very deep shades of head-in-the-clouds Cloudcuckoolander in her character, and Sakura doesn't seem like the type to be that for me. However what I do think the two have in common that they're both slightly soft-spoken and gentle girls (with a subtle strength within them); also I can see Sakura having some affinity for nature as well. Also, for some reason I also tend to associate the Japanese language with Rose - the way the letters and characters form and are written just seems very elegant and gentle (with said subtle strength) to me. Ahaha, I-I don't know. OTL
On the other hand, we have Heracles as the
Cloud Wolf, the mysterious misty being that Rose meets in the lake. (I'm so sorry he looks a bit creepy, but the Cloud Wolf more or less looks like that without all those clouds blocking the view of him. ^^; OTL ) So yeah, technically Heracles is Sakura's "wolf" in this picture. But no, please don't misunderstand, I don't hate him or the Giripan pairing (in fact, I really like it! <3333). ^^; I've read someone's interpretation somewhere that unlike the "wolves" of the other girls the Cloud Wolf didn't actually mean to do any harm to Rose - in fact, a lot of people seem to think that what happened to her after Grandmother's house was an accident. I agree with this interpretation wholeheartedly. I think that maybe the Cloud Wolf considered Rose a really good friend - maybe even loved her, to some extent. And since I ship Giripan a lot too, and water/air imagery goes quite well with the ship, I figured it fit. Also, in reality The Path is more metaphorical that anything, with most interpretations of the game as no one really getting hurt as more of really just "growing up" with the assistance of their wolves; though with Heracles and Sakura (or Kiku even, for that matter) I'm not exactly sure how "growing up" can be used in their context. Thoughts?
(And the Greek language also reminds me of the Cloud Wolf itself, with the way the characters and letters are formed and written as well. I'm just not exactly sure how, but yeah.)"

*cough* I-I'm sorry about that. OTL
Please do tell me what you think! ^^
I should be studying.
