just the usual updates ;)
Yeah, so I guess I like to change my LJ pic a lot. This is one of my NEW favorites of ROger and I, with him sweeping me off my feet! ;) I MIGHT be seeing him this weekend!!! Some of his friends are planning on visiting Houghton and want to catch up with Josh and Emily and if Roger's around, him and me. So he MIGHT get down here if he can make it. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it'd be awesome if he did! :)
Next time I do get to see him, whether this coming weekend or the next, he's gonna help to hook me up with stuff for my bow so I can really start to practice shooting it. I shoot my practice arrows at the ground and I really enjoy shooting it, but I need a new sight, and a target. Can't wait for my first experience hunting! :)
No word yet on the job. I"m startin to think I will NOT get it. First off, because it's a largely computer oriented job and some of the questions they asked me regarding program experience, I don't think I answered very well. My lack of knowledge showed, basically. I DID say I was willing to learn though. And secondly, this is a temporary and part time job for now but they want to make it permanent and I truthfully told them I was looking for temporary and was in between moves. So if they find someone with more skills, AND wanting and willin to be permanent, then i'm not the best candidate. Well, i'll know tomorrow or sometime this week. I SO need to make more money though, if this doesn't work out I REALLY need to get in gear.
Em and I had a BLAST last weekend! I went up her way Friday and we hung out and then went deer scouting that night. Saw like three HUGE bucks out of a herd of like 7 bucks in a field Em's seen them before. It was so cool, and so very exxciting. Saturday we explored an abandonded house Em had her eye on, and it was neat, the walls were covered with this weird tin designed stuff, and it looked really old. I love stuff like that and so does she. That night we saw those same buck in a nearby field AGAIN and then came to my Gram's, then went to Mendon Ponds and she got some great pics of a 6 pointer buck I see there all the time. It was fun. I'm glad we got some just girl time, we always have crazy adventures and LOTS of laughs :)
Not much going on this week. Feeling kind of bored and eager for my next adventure! ;) Gotta pick up Mike from the airport Thursday morning, and that's about it. Ken and I had a great time catching up when he came this morning. We always have good spiritual talks and encourage each other and stuff ;) Am gonna be playing on the alumni team for the Houghton tourney in October and I can't wait! It'll feel SSO good to play with all the old team mates again. So i've been doing an intense workout the last 2 weeks and will continue to do so, both for frisbee and for hunting! Been really tired lately too so hopefully that'll help me to FINALLY change my sleep habits! Ok that's enough random ramblings for now.
