Just some random thoughts and reflections I guess. But first off...ok, here goes. I am going to take the plunge, i'm diving in and JUST DOING IT, as Roger encouraged me to do last night. I'm going to go to Gander Mt. sometime tonight and ask if they are hiring. I MUST do something, this is ridiculous and I'm tired of being afraid and hiding ( Read more... )

I don't know if I can top Relient Mike's thoughts - he's got some good ones there!! Honestly, I don't really want to try...You're an amazing person, Mel, and it sounds like you've made some pretty amazing friends!!! The wonderful thing about friends like that is that they care so deeply about you that they'll do whatever they can to help, despite your physical or emotional or mental or spiritual state of being.

(disclaimer: the thoughts are there, although the words may not make as much sense as they should - please excuse it as a lack of English skills, and a lack of sleep...perhaps I'll try to correct it later...maybe not...)

Life's not easy - you know that. We don't have the answers to all of life's questions and challenges, but we do have a Book that can guide us through them. We also have a God who loves us, and knows the plans He has for us - plans to prosper us, to give us a hope and a future! God has a place for you, Melanie; a niche that is waiting for you, and that only you can fill. You have to do your part in finding it, but He will show you the way. You're intelligent, and thoughtful, and talented, and any company or organization or whatever would be blessed to have you - I wholeheartedly believe that - so don't you dare, for even a moment, let your job hunt tear you down!!!

As far as relationships, those are also full of challenges and questions. I understand that you want your life to "start moving" - take it one step at a time, though. Be careful of trying to figure out who you are as an individual, while at the same time making all your plans for the future within a relationship context (I'm not entirely sure that that is clear, but I hope you get the point...Please refer to the above disclaimer.) It's a hard line to walk, but I know that you have a heart after God, and that you're strong. Trust in yourself, and in the One who made you!

With much love, many prayers, and the hope of a good long conversation next month, I've said my piece. Goodnight Mel!!
