Harry stumbled through the mud, darkness and rain. Draco was heavy on his back, but letting go was not an option. He had only Draco to trust in, a thought that gave him both chills and comfort. They had escaped the cellars of Malfoy Manor. At least Harry hoped they had escaped, he was blind. A spell cast by a vindictive Death Eater had taken away his sight. Draco was his eyes now. Draco, whose daring rescue of Harry had injured the boy severely in the leg, hence the carrying.
“We’re almost there,” whispered Draco softly. “Please, hang on, love.”
