I mean, they said Key looked like a girl and Minho had a mullet, but generally they were excited and it was still nice to have someone to fangirl at IRL.
Except that I hope you don't XD
Because, basically I want to know whether this is annoying to other people as well.
Okay, so you know how when you like something, people make assumptions about it?
I'm really annoyed by that.
Maybe I should explain better. A good example: I was in a bookstore with my mom once, and she started reading something out of a book to me. It was a Christian book and mentioned in part of what she read the whole John-Lennon-saying-that-the-Beatles-were-bigger-than-Jesus thing.
I am a huge Beatles fan, so it would seem obvious for her to ask me about the incident.
Basically what happened is that John said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Not better, not more holy or better equipped to save your soul. Just more popular, which was probably true, especially when he said he thought that given the choice between a Beatles concert and church, he thought more people would choose the concert.
Also important: he later explained that he didn't think this was a good thing, in fact he had been trying to say that it was a bad thing.
Anyway, after telling this to my mom, she essentially told me that she didn't trust my information, because as a Beatles fan, defending them was more important to me than the truth.
WHICH I FIND REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING.
*grumbles*
Anyway, the current situation is this: for a while I've known that I wanted to move out of the country, go somewhere, do something I love, pretty much "live like I'm dying". Lately, South Korea has been looking good for the obvious reasons, and for other not-so-obvious reasons.
When I told this to a friend of mine, she completely supported me and was all gung-ho about it.
I then ended up sending her a few of SHINee's videos, because she always asks me for new music, and we were boy band fans together when we were younger.
A little bit after that, she sent me this message basically saying "oh, so that's why you want to move there". She then proceeded to ask me whether I had really thought about Korea, saying that it wasn't going to be a fairytale or anything.
I guess the point is that I'm frustrated in the lack of faith in my common sense.
Also, I'm a little bit scared to tell anyone I'm a fan of anything now, lest they all think that everything I do is just the by-product of some fangirl hysteria.
Guh.
Now I've irritated myself with this little tirade, and I will probably regret it in the morning.
