Office Slash?
My mom has been watching the Office incessantly lately, and talking about all of the pairings she likes (Pam/Angela, Pam/Katie, Pam/Karen), and watching the one episode today, I was thinking about how weird it was for me to only like a canon het ship (Jim/Pam).
Then I got curious about Jim/Ryan.
Hahaha ^_^ That was a bad idea.
Now I want to write it.
We were watching "the Dundies" and the award that Michael gave Ryan (something along the lines of "hottest") got me thinking about the TVtropes trope Even the Guys Want Him.
Yeah. Hellooooo uke-Ryan.
Except that really I think it'd be him pining after Jim. 'Cause who wouldn't?
Anyway, I searched for it on fanfiction.net and found this: It's Not the Side Effects of the Cocaine, which is sadistically wonderful. I especially enjoy the subtlety of it and Jim being referred to as a "hot mess". Hells yes.
Also, I kind of love Ryan mostly because his last name is Howard. I always have to wonder if they made a joke about that in an episode that I haven't seen yet. . . because they're in Scranton. Jim was talking about going to a Phillies game at one point. They have to have made a joke. . . right?
(For anyone reading this who has no idea what I'm talking about. . . due to not being from the Philly area/not following baseball/whatever, Ryan Howard is our 1st baseman. The Phillies' 1st baseman, that is, not mine in particular. If they're open to claiming, I want Chase Utley. . . the 2nd baseman.)
