The results of my July 2nd sleep study arrived, and the Olin primary doctor was not much help with interpreting them. Both her and the technicians called the results inconclusive; I call them wierd. The amount of apnea events was considered acceptable, with 4.5 events occuring an hour. You have to have at least 5 for you to be considered to have mild apnea.
The really wierd thing was my sleep patterns. I fell asleep in 6min, which is half the normal time, and entered REM sleep in 62 min, which is a half an hour earlier than normal people. And, while most people between young adult and ancient have an average REM of 20% of sleep, mine was 43.4% of sleep. What is even more irritating, I can't find anything online about prolonged REM sleep, just REM deprivation and REM sleep behavior disorder. I don't act out my dreams.
I am going to have to wait for my appointment in August with a neurologist before I can ask him about this and my strange MRI scans. At least in the meantime I have my sunglasses.
