Hey friends,
while in Ireland, I wrote a paper (Crimes in the Name of Obedience: An Analysis of the Sociological and Psychological Reasons for Genocide) which I am going to submit for consideration for presentation in Manchester's undergraduate research symposium. Since I never got any feedback on it from my professor (or at least I haven't received it yet), and I have just about two and a half weeks to write my abstract, I'm looking for some input in general. I know that several of you on my flist are academically and/or writerly minded, so I figured this might be a good place to start.
It's about 6000 words and around 21pp double-spaced. There isn't much background knowledge required, I don't think. I'd be willing to send it to anyone interested... I'm looking for general and specific feedback, as well as any ideas as to where I could potentially cut out five pages -- to be considered for an award, it can't be longer than 15pp. This isn't imperative, but winning would look really good on applications for grad school. To be honest, I doubt I'll be able to get it down to 15 pages. There's a lot of material in the paper.
So, yeah. Comment or contact me some other way if you're interested. Don't feel like you're not qualified for some reason. :-)
