Hi everyone! In twenty days I'm going to be leaving from Florida to go study in China for a year. I have never been on a flight this long. The only flights I have been on since being an adult is from Tampa to Miami which was only about 45 minutes. I get really nauseous on just these short flights and any bit of movement made me very sick. Since it was such a short flight I just stuck it out. I just wanted to know if there are any natural remedies that I can take before hand, (like maybe ginger?) so I won't feel so bad on the flight since I'm most likely going to want to move around and such on this one. I am willing to take things that aren't natural though either.
Other than that, I don't know if any of you guys have been to China or lived there for some time and can recommend anything to me. I am worried because I hear the tap water there is very bad and can make you sick. Of course I will get a filter and/or buy bottled water but I hear that the water they use to cook with in restaurants is still tap water. Many people are telling me make sure I have Pepto Bismal on hand. I'm just wondering if there is anything else I can use instead that's more natural? Or is Pepto Bismal generally safe? I don't even know. I'm just worried because I eat very healthy and for a long time have put very little unnatural substances in my body. I haven't even needed to take any pain reliever for years now. I'm thinking though that since I will be in a foreign country for a year I should try to not be so strict with myself. I just cherish my body a lot and do not want to use anything that could be detrimental to it.
Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?
Thank you all! :)
