I'm sure this has been brought up a few times before, and feel free to direct me to such entries. I haven't checked this community in a few months.
I do know there are such things as "tooth soaps" and I've heard that some people will brush their teeth with liquid soaps like Dr. Bronner soaps.
I was going through my bathroom to decide what travel-sized toiletries to take with me on a week-long vacation. I have a two-ounce bottle of skin cleanser that contains the following ingredients:
"Organic green tea, Coconut oil, Castor oil, Palm oil, Jojoba oil, Wellness Water, Himalayan salt, Soy protein, Vegetable glycerin and Potassium hydroxide."
I had a very bizarre thought: Could I possibly use this to brush my teeth? I don't know what made me think that, since I do have travel sizes of organic toothpastes and tooth powders. I think that thought came from the part of me that likes to consolidate - I like to keep a mini toothbrush and small bottle of tooth powder or small tube of toothpaste in my purse at all times, and occasionally I will use natural toothpaste as a facial mask.
If it is a bad idea to brush with the above-mentioned soap, what are your thoughts on soap in dental care?
