Follow up on outrageous shipping rates from Preserveproducts.com

I just got an email from preserve:
Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in Preserve!
We currently mail international orders only via UPS. The quoted shipping costs are determined strictly by the price charged by UPS, which is based on the total weight of your order and the location of delivery. Please note that UPS does tend to charge elevated shipping amounts for shipping outside the United States .
Another option would be to check out Amazon.com, which carries many of our products to see if you can get a better shipping rate. We encourage you to check our store listings page for a retailer in your area, http://www.preserveproducts.com/locations/index.php?tab=CA.

So, what they're basically saying is that the shipping charge was correct. In which case, I'll never be buying anything from Preserve, and I'm sure other Canadians won't either.
