I have several well established roses in the front yard (we've not long moved in), and their care is part of our lease.
Unfortunately, they're crawling with aphids.
I remember my stepfathers mother using rose dust (a nasty chemical mass produced stuff), but she also said something about dishwashing liquid dissolved in cold, weak tea.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Vaguely related is the other yicky we're getting. I've so far found and salted several slugs that have made their way into the house. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep said pests outside, where they belong?
