recycling hard plastic cups

Hey guys! So...I have some hard, clear plastic cups my mom bought for me at Target, probably about three years ago. They're those cheap ones supposed to be used for picnics and whatnot.

Since then, I've stopped buying plastic dishes, but was using them so as not to throw them in a landfill. However, they're getting pretty gross - there are designs on them that are starting to rub out from being washed and I'm nervous about whatever chemicals are ending up in the water I'm drinking out of them. I'd give them to Goodwill if I could, but they look really dirty as well and doubt they'll accept them.

Does anyone know if I can recycle stuff like this? There is no number or anything on the bottom (all it says in 'Made in China' - oh dear) and it's a very different kind of plastic from the normal plastic bottles, etc that get recycled. But I don't want them to end up in a landfill. Any ideas what I can do with them?
