I checked the memories and didn't find an entry on acute (as opposed to chronic) sleep and stress.
I've got my chronic insomnia under control. The last couple of months I've had a whole bunch of extra stress though, and now it's hard to sleep again. It's hard to sleep, hard to wake up (or I wake up anxious), and often I toss and turn a lot.
I hardly ever have caffeine or alcohol, no drugs, and I have a pretty healthy diet. Kava kava hasn't been doing much for me, and melatonin has been having less effect. Sometimes I meditate, but I haven't been very good about keeping up a regular routine. I have bodywork done regularly, but it hasn't been as regular for the last couple of months. For the record, my stress level should be going down within the next couple months as long as I can keep functioning. I want to go to my holistic doctor soon, but money is an issue for me right now so I'm trying to put it off.
Any suggestions for acute stress and/or insomnia?
Thank you!
