I have an accumulation of ashes from the fireplace over the winter. The roommate was simply shoveling them into the unused cat litter sealable containers. Now I've got 2 containers full that I'd like to use. The main reason they weren't thrown away was the winter months were also during the introduction of a new pet - a pit bull that frequently got bored in the backyard and would decorate with the trash can.
The secondary reason was one of us recalled there was something beneficial you could do with ashes - but we couldn't recall at the time and simply stored them to wait for spring.
Well here's spring. Any suggestions as to what to do with ash that is 49.5% natural wood and 50% duralogs?
(.5% consisted of ants which is why we quickly switched to duraflame)
