Crystal!

It sounds bizarre and hokey but it works SO WELL.

I have no idea how they work - my boyfriend's mom (who is a homeopath) introduced us to them - and we were VERY skeptical - but figured it's only like an investment of $3 and one day of stink to figure out of it works.

And it works. Less sweat, zero stink. I don't know how but it's great. And they last a looong time.

It's made of a type of mineral salt that forms a layer on your skin that keeps bacteria from growing. For that reason, it's best to use it right after you get out of the shower. And I find that you have to put on a lot more than you think is enough. You don't put it on in a couple of swipes like you would commercial antiperspirants, you have to go over the area a few times. Load it on (it doesn't actually get goopy or anything, so you can't put on too much). When you think it's enough, keep going. Then, when you think you've put on way too much, it's probably enough XD
You have to be really careful if you shave in the shower, though, because it will sting like a mofo if you nick yourself and then put on the crystal deodorant.

oh, oh my. See that sounds good but I tend to get irritated skin when I shave there so this may not be best for me. (The weleda spray stung so so so badly..)

Have you ever tried using conditioner to shave with? My sister told me about it, so I started doing that, and it makes my skin really smooth, it lets me get a smooth shave, and I hardly ever nick myself anymore.

They seem to work for some but not for others. I haven't had much success with them.

How did you apply it? That might have been the problem.

It was a long time ago so I don't remember, but I followed the directions on the package.

If I apply it on clean skin, I get maybe 5 hours of destinkification out of it. Plus it makes me itchy. :(

I'll have to second crystal. It makes it through a hot yoga class beautifully.

I got the spray because I put on deodorant in my bedroom right before putting on my clothing and the bathroom/a sink for rewetting isn't readily convenient and I can't really wander my house naked. I can put on the spray in my bedroom easier. Conventional deodorant tended to irritate my skin - not enough to stop using it per se, but enough that I sorta dreaded putting it on - but I've had zero issues with the spray, even after shaving. Also, in my case, it continues to be effective even if I'm not applying it to clean skin.

That stuff is awesome! I just started using it a few days ago. For whatever reason, at the end of the year, I developed an allergy to deodorant. It's been irritation-o-rama ever since (no matter what natural ones I tried). I am no stink free and the irritation is finally going away. Hooray!
