Natural deodorant

Over Christmas I was pleased to learn that my mall back home had gotten a Lush store! I poked around and let the sales lady talk me into their natural creme deodorant. Well, I liked it for the first two weeks or so, but then I noticed that it burned a little when I put it on. Later I noticed that my skin was peeling. Determined to get my $10 worth ( Read more... )

I've found a couple of great deodorant brands, but they're Australian, so may not suit you. The best one I've found is Eden Organics, which is great and keeps working even when I'm at my job (I work on a farm and I work really physically hard, and in the heat). Eden's products are brilliant; everything I've sued of theirs is just great. 'Natural Scents' is really good, too. Probably doesn't help you too much, but on the offchance that these are available in your neck of the woods, then I highly recommend them.

Weird as it is, I am wiling to buy deodorant online! I'm in Alabama, home of everything synthetic and NOTHING natural, sadly. There is very little out here that I can buy in-store (I got the Lush deodorant at home in Massachusetts). I will check that out, thanks a lot! :)

try oyin funk butter - it smells great and works, too!! you'll have to order online, though...

have you tried manna grocery on mcfarland? there is also a place called robertson's that carries health/natural products, but it's in northport...

Hey! You must live around here! :D
Yes, I love Manna Grocery, and I'm actually going to go there when I'm done today (I'm hoping they're still open at 5ish when I get out...) and check out the deodorant selection. I think I may alternate with the creme deo and whatever I find at Manna. That way I can still use it up and also give my pits a rest occasionally.

i currently live in birmingham, but i have spent a LOT of time in tuscaloosa! i can't speak for your area, but some of the publix stores and walgreen's here in town carry lots of natural products now! so does target, though the selection isn't as good.

i use the oyin funk butter, but i alternate with a combo of the deo crystal and a dusting w/ a mix of baking soda and cornstarch. on days where i'm just bumming it around the house, though, i just let my pits go all natural.

I second oyin, I switched to them about 2 years ago and have been very happy, I wish she had a couple more scents though. But all 3 are nice and smell good!

I was going to suggest the funk butter too. Some people are sensative to it so I think it really depends on your body. I tried this gel stuff from an etsy seller and I just smelled like BO and the deoderant. The funk butter prevents the odor for me.
