Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm going to give it a shot.
I have around 15 hens that have decided to go on strike. They're between 18 and 24 months old and this summer we were getting between 8 and 10 eggs a day. The past couple of months we've been lucky to get 2 to 4 eggs.
So, what's going on with my hens? Is it time to start making dumplings out of them or is there something we're not doing? They get fresh water daily, a steady supply of laying mash, and a daily ration of cracked corn. They also get the raw scraps from vegetables we cook, grass, and the occasional bug. There is also a rooster in residence with my girls.
Any advice? It would be much appreciated. I also have no idea how to tag this one.
