riddex

I just seen a commercial about riddex plus, you plug it in and it keeps pests like bugs and rodents away with out harming people or pets. 
Has anyone tried this?  Does it work?  What do you all think?

I have one (not that brand). It doesn't keep spiders away. I've heard that the insect/spider/rodent will eventually get used the sound and come back.

My mom uses it and says it works pretty well. I like the idea that you aren't endangering pets around the house, b/c our little dog loooves to eat whatever she sees!
