Hi, I've recently become interested in trying out the OCM method for face washing. I'm 20 now and have had acne ever since I was 12 or so.. it was never severe enough to get on Accutane or anything but I've always had quite a few pimples. Proactiv seemed to work for me, but not completely, I would still have breakouts. ACtually the best thing ever for my skin is just lots of sunshine.. it clears my skin right up, but that's not possible right now.
I'm in Seoul, Korea and my skin has just gotten absolutely TERRIBLE. I think it is mostly the amount of pollution that is here.. the air is just unbelievable that my face feels dirty just walking outside for 30 minutes.
I have been reading this website about the OCM. Today I went to about 3 different grocery stores and 3 different drugstore/pharmacies to try to find castor oil. None of them had it and I kind of got strange looks.. honestly I didn't expect to find it. The thing is, it seems to me from the reading that castor oil would be really important.. I definitely have oily (but pretty sensitive..) skin. From my searchings, I did find Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Sunflower oil (all in the cooking oil section) and that Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap (in liquid form, too). Also there was pure soybean oil and sesame seed oil (I am in Korea, after all..) but not sure if that would help much.
Basically my question is.. does anyone know of some kind of mix I could do with these 3 ingredients to start on the OCM? Keep in mind I have oily, acne-prone skin and have not tried using any of these yet. Would anyone recommend ONLY using Dr. Bronner's? I mean.. it is all natural and full of good oils it seems.
Any suggestions at all would be great.. thank you!
