babywearing in the winter

Our first child is due in November, and I am trying to figure out how I can babywear during the winter. It doesn't get incredibly cold here (we are in Maryland), and not until Dec-Jan, but we are also used to a tropical climate, so it feels very cold to us! I'm not sure the best and most inexpensive way to babywear when it's cold. I took a look at a few special jackets online for BW purposes, but everything seems to be $150-200! Any suggestions, tips, or advice on how you do it? What does the baby wear? What do I wear--just a regular winter coat? How does it work together?

I'm not too worried about running errands, we're buying a Bundle Me for the car seat, and going in and out of stores shouldn't be so bad, I think? But, on days that it is not below freezing, I would like to go on walks around the neighborhood with her, but I don't want to do anything that she will end up cold (or me, for that matter!). We have a Maya sling, Baby Bjorn (mainly for the hubby), and I will also possibly pick up a Mei Tei after she is born.
