Hey everyone...I am new. Found this place from a post at
naturalliving.
I am a 20 year old senior college student about to graduate and next year will be my first year teaching - hopefully in an elementary school. I am engaged to a guy who hated hippies/vegetarians when we started dated....haha...now he is a vegetarian and I am slowly getting him to see the light in natural living.
We have been discussin starting a family for some time now, but I still think it will be at least a couple of years before we have kids since he hsa to go to grad school and then I will be working full time.
So, that brings me to my question. I want to raise my kids as natural as possible and vegetarian. I would love to be a stay at home mom, but as everyone knows that these days in our society its hard to do that. Plus I am really excited about teaching and I don't think I am going to want to quit right away. Luckily its a job where I will be able to see my children and have a lot of time at home and I could always tweak my job from teaching to maybe doing in home consulting or something for parents (I want to teach special education and there is a lot more in the field that I could do if need be).
How many of you moms work and how hard does that make it to be natural? I want to breastfeed, use cloth diapers- all those kinds of things. Will it be possible?
Anyway- I love this community so far- you people give me something to aspire to everyday!
