Hey Bane bb, I have a question. I dunno if you can help me or not, but as the leading pet expert I know I thought maybe I could try. ;_;
So I have two cats, an older male and a younger female. The female is always really submissive, and the male is in charge. The only time that's ever changed is when he had the PU surgery and got his penis removed and his urethra resized to female-size, at which point she would hiss and fight with him if he came anywhere near him. But he reclaimed dominance and things have been all good since.
THEN. So my sister came to visit from CA, and she brought my nieces with her. My male cat doesn't like any of them, and he swipes at them when they come anywhere near him. Okay, fine. The female cat is really skittish, so she doesn't like them much either, I don't think. They came last night, and as of today the girl cat's been fighting hardcore with the boy every time they're in the same room. She yowls at him and hisses and goes all out at him. And him, I dunno, he's scared of hell as her and he keeps hiding. SO I'm trying to keep them separated, but I'm kind of worried anyway. x_x I tried looking it up and I think maybe it's territorial because there's a new presence in the house or something? Does that sound right? Do you have any idea at alllll?
