HI, EVENT TARGET.

My name's Chez, and this is Nepeta from Homestuck! She's a little girl from a planet where thirteen-year-olds running around killing each other is pretty much a social norm. Sadly, I don't know much about N Harmonia or 5th-gen in general -- what I've heard basically comes down to "Giovanni became a hippie and joined PETA".

... this already sounds amazing.

I am so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I had, like... a plot seizure and went into a coma for a couple days. :D

N isn't nearly as blatantly manipulative as Giovanni, unfortunately. XD In fact, at one point he says that he wants to change the world without violence, so he's not happy with this event. He's not going to go after his target, but if Nepeta does come after him, he'll fight back. Did you have any idea of what you'd like to do?

H-haha, well Nepeta's 'what you desire most' on the census was actually a big forest full of things to hunt, plus they're threatening someone ridiculously important to her. She frowns upon killing anything that isn't for food, but like I said, murder is pretty commonplace in her world. And the kid was literally raised by a big cat who taught her to hunt down terrifying monsters for dinner each night, so her tracking and fighting skills are decently badass.

... of course, the lack of regains means she's just a (very fit) thirteen-year-old human girl, and her fighting ability will reflect that. I have no idea how capable N is, but I'm sure the fight could go a number of ways, so his fate is pretty much up to you!

I am not attached to him living or dying, so I say we thread it up, do our best not to powermod, and just see how it plays out. N is very fit, and also very tall, so he will probably be able to hold his own, though I doubt he'll have more than a kitchen knife. We can see how it goes!

I'll put him in the park later on tonight, if that's all right with you?

Sounds good! N's got a huge physical advantage here, Nepeta's got practice, so I doubt either of them will come out of this unharmed. I may post with her later, but I'll keep her out of N's way until you're ready to post. \o

Sorry for the late response -- and the tl;dr. Tagged!

I hope that last one was... open-ended enough? XD I tried to make it clear that I was leaving it completely up to you; I hope I didn't take too many liberties.

No, this is awesome! I was actually just commenting here about it to ask how you'd like things to turn out, haha. It pretty much comes down to how successful N's last attack is, I think -- if he puts a knife through her stomach she'll go down immediately, if it just clips her she'll try to finish him off, so... yeah. 8|a

I was kind of hoping to have her escape alive, if only because there are some important castmate posts -- from new castmates she hasn't yet interacted with, especially -- that went up after our thread did, and... she can't respond to them if she's dead, lmao. But if you think this'd be unfair, I could totally work around killing her off, I don't want to be godmodding. ;u;

As we've gone through the thread, I realized that I could easily use the event to generate some CR for N, since he's new and really doesn't know anyone yet. He might have interesting CR with Nepeta after this regardless of who wins, though. XD I don't think it's unfair either way, but when we both want to win... hm. Maybe a coin flip? :|a

Hm... he could always land a non-fatal hit and escape while she's wounded? Then they both survive, and seeing how they're both badly injured, Nepeta would probably have to rest up for a while before going in for a second attack -- if she did at all. By then, the guy targeting her might take chase, aaat which point they'd both have a 6'5" wall of muscle to worry about.

It seems worth putting out there, at least. 8|a

This is true! And then the visions would set in and he'd go after his own target more aggressively, where he previously wouldn't. Then later on we can figure out what happens between them, if they meet up again.

That sounds like a good plan to me! \o/

Alright! Who knows what other stuff the mods will throw at us between then and now, too, so it's probably best to wait and see. I'll probably come bother you again once Nepeta's being pursued by said 6'5" scary guy, because either I'd want to talk about killing N for a regain in their second confrontation, or I'd want to warn you that she's going to be offed and then N's going to have someone new after him.

I've got a friend with a character who'll help patch Nepeta up, so I might go ahead and put up a backdated post soon. I just want to be sure so that I don't mess anything up, though: if N had an opening in my next tag, would he run or try to kill her first?

I'm also setting up a backdated post in a bit, once we're done here, so we'll be on even footing, at least after this ends.

N would rather run, right now. If it would be easy to finish her off, he'd try, but otherwise he knows he needs a trip to the Pokémon Center, as it were. XD He can't fight any more.

Haha, it'll never be easy. She might actually try to take chase and then stop when she realizes that apparently humans can't take stab wounds as well as trolls can -- we see at least one troll kid in canon more or less brush off a knife to the abdomen.

ONE LAST QUESTION THOUGH, how far are you backdating your post? I think this thread started ICly very very late on the 28th, though we didn't actually begin threading until the 29th, and I don't know if you want to adjust dates for ease of RPing. 8|a

I don't think it'll ever be easy. ;D If N gets a Pokémon back, though, he'd gain an advantage; I wouldn't be a dick and pull, like... Resharim on you though. We'll see!

He's going to run to the hospital pretty much immediately, so his backdated post will be late 28/v. v. early 29. I usually ICly date from the time of posting, not from when we start actually threading, though when a post is dead I sometimes mentally rearrange thread timelines so they make more sense. This typically only applies with wounds and stuff though.
