It's raining again. So hopefully, it's over by the time I finish my post :)
My muscles are starting to build faster than I am losing weight. Which is making me look thicker and thicker by the day. It's discouraging, but I know logically that I won't have any significant appearance changes till...maybe the 6 week mark. Let's hope I can stick to some sort of eating plan to help it along. I am currently just meal replacing with the protein bars. I add snacks here and there- string cheese or an apple...eh...
Last night my back was spasm-ing so bad I couldn't sleep. The tabata had made by back sore and spasm-y all day yesterday. I had to sleep on the heating pad, which is always nice, but man-- the spasms sucked. I fear tabata. I counted, I only have to do it 7 more times the rest of the program :) So-- 7 more nights on the heating pad, LOL.
Today's workout was good. I felt it started slow, but that was probably me just taking my sweet time to warm up and get into it. Of course, with arms, it takes a bit longer to get up to that point. I believe the first time I did the DVD I used 3 pounds weights-- which was challenging at the time, especially for triceps, but I probably could have handled 5 pounds on biceps and shoulders. I worked with 5 pounds today and, again, they were good for triceps but not for biceps or shoulders. On a few occasions already I have felt that the 5 pounders were too light, so I may be ready for 8 or 10 pound weights now. I might grab some this week along with a sweat band :P I can't explain it, but I am having a harder time dealing with the sweating. I don't know if I sweat more or if the position of my head in certain DVDs causes it to run towards my face instead of another direction, but it is affecting my workout now. So it must be stopped (that happened in a Sean Connery voice in my head :P lol)
Well, I don't have much to say today aside from the regular complaints ("My flexibility is crap." "I need more cardio." blah, blah, blah...") I hope I actually do something about that eventually :P
