After leaving Rogue with Magneto John had taken to the streets or more accurately the sewers, the things he did for the Brotherhood. Dark boots took the narrow walkways quickly and it was with a *squelch squelch* that he stepped over the waste seeping through the depths of the tunnels.

At the sound of footsteps echoing off the walls he flexed his fingers and allowed a flame to spread from source to hand and soon the brilliance of dirt speckled walls was revealed to him.

“That you, Cajun?” He called to the footsteps that continued to circle him, source of light being moved with every echo he could hear. The *drip drip* of a malfunctioning sewage pipe was enough to set his nerves on edge. “If it is, you’ve got about thirty fucking seconds to show yourself before I set your ass on fire.”

Then there was a chuckling sound and low and behold a taller figure emerged from the shadows and only the irises of his eyes could be seen. “You always got such a short temper or is it jus’ me?”

John smirked, “Just you, Cajun.” He held the fire in his hand and then slid eyes across the other man’s form. “You got what was asked for?”

“No need to ask, Gambit always delivers, mon ami.” Remy remarked softly as he edged closer to his shorter companion. “You got de rest of the agreed payment?”

Flame was extinguished but only briefly as John sought his pockets and pulled out a wad of bills, “You’re not getting these until you had me over the discs.”

Remy nodded his head, “You won’t fry Gambit de moment he hand dese over?”

John snorted, “Dude I’m an asshole not a bastard.”

A fair point, Gambit pulled out a small container in which there was five discs, each one no bigger than his thumb. He now tossed them through the air and waited.

John’s hand went out, grabbed the discs and pulled them in to look them over before as promised he threw the wad of bills towards the thief. “Been good doing business with you, Cajun.”

Remy crouched down, collected the bills and then rose to his feet. “Consider the sentiment returned.”

“If he needs you again he’ll contact you,” John remarked, slipping the container into a pocket and glancing back at Gambit.

Remy nodded his head, “I’ll be sure to keep my ears peeled.” He slid the notes away, “Au revoir, mon ami.” He now turned on his heel and began back into the shadows of the nearby walkway.

John watched his retreating back before starting back towards the nearby ladder, “I’ll be seeing you, Cajun.”
