I ordered all my law school texts from half.com this semester. Most of the texts I received promptly and more or less in good comdition. I just received one book, EU law, right before it was due, even though I paid for expedited shipping. When I opened the package I was very disappointed. The book's condition was listed as "like new"- and I paid $60 for it (the normal price was $114). This book's cover is almost torn off of the spine and is highlighted and written in. I fail to see how this book is "like new." I proceeded to give the seller his or her 1st negative feedback. Arg- why would someone falsely advertise (especially a law student- the punk). I'm pissed. I basically have to keep the book because I purchased a book store copy which I need to return soon (by Sept 7th) or not get the $114 refund. Arg. Arg. I hope no one buys from that person again!
