I got another admissions reply. It's another rejection. This one was from my first-choice school.
Dear Nathaniel:
I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you to the Ph.D. in Robotics program at Carnegie Mellon. We received nearly 1600 applications this year. Our graduate programs can support only a limited number of new students. Unfortunately, we could admit only a fraction of the applicants, even though many more had strong qualifications.
We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

From now on, I'm only going to post acceptance letters. It was never my intent to get sympathy by posting these letters, just to share... and these rejection letters are big downers!
