Synopsis so far
By my highschool graduation, I’d had my fill of Pennville. Smalltown living might have its perks, but it has way more setbacks. My embarrassing secrets were public knowledge, the town hobby was gossip, and there was absolutely no scope for imagination! The worst part about Pennville was the fact that everything closed by eight, way too early for a girl who wants to experience the swinging nightlife. I had to get out. When I’d gotten the letter from Madison Lake University stating that they were willing to award me a full ride scholarship, I knew things were about to turn around. Everything was paid for: classes, books, even a dormroom! While dorm-living wouldn’t be glamourous, it sure beats commuting every day back to my parents place. I’m really excited about the chance to meet new people and there’s no way I’m going to play second fiddle to anyone! Just when I thought my life was really starting to come together, I find out my dorm room’s been given away!! Except…there’s no room for me at the dorm. Since my scholarship won’t cover off-campus living, I have to take a position as a housekeeper to a gold digger. To make matters worse, she dumps her 21 year old charge on me- this girl with no social skills, no real abilities, and a bad personality. Then, due to a clerical error, my entire scholarship gets purged from the system, and I’m left scrambling. Though this isn’t the direction I thought my life would take, there is no way I’m backing down now!
