Remi thought adulthood would be as fun as the romance novels she skims through. She thought it'd be an endless stream of parties and dates, shopping with girl friends and sipping cocktails. She figured that college would be the first step, the tentative dip of the foot into the water, with sororities and dorm mixers and crazy late night adventures for waffles at 2AM. She also figured college would finally be her time to shine. Remi was wrong on all accounts.
Maybe Remi was just born under an unlucky star, but nothing pans out as planned. First her dorm room is given away, leaving Remi homeless. When she finds a living situation, its basically an ad for a live-in maid requiring skills in the arena Remi has no training for- housework. The digs are pretty glamorous- the apartment is in Madison's premier apartment complex, the Nyugen Building, but the price is pretty hefty: Remi has to share sleeping space with the strangest girl she's ever met. Sam Nyugen is abrasive, annoying, overbearing, and has no problem slavedriving Remi into the dust. In addition, Remi's boss, Julia, has no problem dumping Sam on Remi, giving Remi even more work. Can she juggle college, housework, and her quest for love?
