pics of dummy wedding cake, update post, yada yada
I tried posting yesterday and things went all waky. So, here is a short version of the latest....
I haven't been posting much because I have been very busy baking. I have been baking because I have recently opened up a little bakery boutique within Le Marche in Midway, Ky. It wasn't really my idea, I wanted to promote my wedding cakes, the owner needed a baker for the boutique and bada bing... here I am doing something I swore I would never get involved in again after my mom closed her doors to her bakery. However, this is not like a typical bakery situation its more like specializing and I get to do what I do best and what I like most so thats fun, right? So, mostly I make 9" layered cakes like hummingbird, red velvet, italian creams... all from scratch.. all extra yummy and get about $25 bucks each for them... so not bad.. at least not in this area. I make other things too, plus I get to display my wedding cakes! Which I made a display to take over there this weekend... as you will see in the pic below.
Now onto other stuff... so the van is great and if it makes me old, then break out the depends, baby! cause I love it! I could not ask for a nicer vehicle, its is swveeet.
The boys: Gavin is potty trained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wooohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, but I am so proud! He is going to be 3 in about a month from now and we are planning a pirate birthday party and he can't wait! He is also excited about starting preschool, my baby is getting so big!
Asa is just a sweet baby boy who is 9.5 months now and is saying all kinds of words. Asa can now say: mama, dada, bub bub, papaw, gaga (grammy), tactor (tractor), bobble (bottle) and then just random stuff he will repeat. He is almost walking.. almost.. like any day now.
Todd and I are both doing great, staying really super busy.
