I found there was a slightly different type of people on different apps. OkCupid is another one I've heard of a few successful relationships come out of. In the States it was good for people more serious about relationships ... here in Australia its just got the dregs. Plenty of Fish is big here. My good friend Billie was on POF and when we'd hang out it would amaze me the degree to which she was constantly getting messages on it!! Its definitely a different ball game for an attractive girl on dating sites. What I didn't like about POF actually was that anyone could message. I kept getting messages from people I wasn't interesting in (I'm really picky) and it made me feel bad.
There's also one called "Bumble" where only the women can message first.
You might have inhereted my tinder ghost. I _just_ killed off the paid acount I had, I didn't realize it had kept charging after I deleted it from my phone (I had a paid account to swipe in other countries after I realized I didn't think I liked Australian girls... which is how I met Cristina!)
