I've been waiting for someone to bring up Boats and Birds in this fandom! It really applies to many of the pairings, such a pretty song. I love your fst.
Hey, I downloaded this a few weeks ago, and I thought I should let you know, as a devoted AkuRoku fangirl...
...I love this.
Your song selection was spot-on, especially the Boats and Birds one. That song is BEAUTIFUL. I love When Did Your Heart Go Missing, too; it fits SO well, but it's surprisingly fun. I've downloaded other FSTs after this one, and so far, I think yours is the best one.
I never would've thought I'd understand this pairing so easily, but thanks to this - and some recent friendship trouble - I do. At least the friendship side of it. To be honest, I'm still in disbelief ._.
Now I'm thinking of making an FST of my own; anything I should know about it? :D (FST making, that is)
Aw, thank you. It means a lot to hear that. ♥ Yeah, it was hard for me at first to accept this pairing, but after seeing their history from Days and BBS, even relating it to my own relationships, I've started to see how it makes sense.
I think what I tried to express in this FST is the pain of loss as well as the lightheartedness of their past friendship. Having said that, since you're planning on making an FST of your own, take a good look at the character(s) you're making one about and base the songs around their story.
Also, it helps to follow a certain genre or "feel" of music like I did with this one; I used a lot of softer toned songs with the exception of that one Rooney song and Bad Romance. XD I just felt that if I used a huge jumble of fast paced and slow songs, the FST would sound disorganized. An FST is like a story: it has a beginning and middle and an end, so work to make your songs reflect that cadence. ♥ Hope that helps and can't wait to see what you come up with.
Well, I use iTunes to put my album art together onto my songs, which does replace any existing artwork the song already has, though. I suppose you could make duplicates of songs and stick the album art onto those, though. So, yes, it does help if the song doesn't have album art, but it's not that much of a hassle to replace art if it does.

See, I can rhyme. Going to be having a lot of live action axel/saix over ACEN!
