Ok so I haven't updated in a long time. The reason being is the number of projects I somehow got myself involved with.
Here's what I do....
*Drive a bus (that's a given)
*Coordinate the Outdoor Learning Center (another given)
*Doing a presentation to the Master Gardeners about rain gardens...make a powerpoint & script etc.
*Working with the Clean Water Dept. Hendricks County on a rain garden at the county fairgrounds.
*Working with the Town of Avon for an Earth Day roadside cleanup event
*Working on ordering and eventually selling canvas bags for grocery shopping. By the way, they will be very nice and they will have on them "When you throw something AWAY where's AWAY? Reduce, Reuse, REFUSE, Rethink, Recycle. Avon Outdoor Learning Center. They are even nicer than the bags that I got from the Nature Conservancy!
*Working on the upcoming Master Naturalist class series that starts in March and runs for 8 weeks.
*Setting up a Hoosier Riverwatch Class
*Doing e-coli tests on the stream (when I can get to the water)
*Working with the Town O Avon on doing some stream mitigation. Getting them coordinated with JFNew ecological solutions and Banning Engineering. The stream always full of trash and I'm tired of it.
*I'm on the Hendricks County Stormwater Advisory Committee (we will be making recommendations for a tax assessment for Hendricks County in order to fund the EPA Clean Water Act)
*I'm on the Education Committee for the Partnership for clean water
*Getting ready for the Native Plant Sale (making the order forms and working with the nursery)
*Planning my own rain garden
*Planning a rain garden for the Intermediate School (they really need it)
Can you see the water theme??
*I have a house to take care of and snow to shovel. I have two daughters that I think about all the time.
*3 snakes
*1 old dog
*2 cats that seem to puke all over the place
*1 husband
Enough? I think that's enough for right now
I need to learn how to cut down on projects.
