NERDING IT UP.
Im such a history nerd. Currently geeking out over this article which im looking at for my essay on misogyny as a cause of witch hunts in early modern Europe. It's super fascinating- about weather and economics in relation to the witch hunts, saying that periods of climate change causing colder temperatures, and therefore an increase in crop failure coincided with periods of increases in witch hunts across Europe. It says that because they lacked the scientific explanations we have today, they looked for answers in the already existing frame work, and witchcraft and witches was the answer they found, as it had been esablished by the Pope himself that witches could control the weather.
Im clearly having way too much fun with this essay. But i want to finish it by Tuesday because its due Friday, but I have two others and an essay plan due on the next Monday, so im trying to space it out a bit. Havent done enough work this break :\ had plenty of fun though! :D
So, i wrote the introduction just now. If i can finish the paragraph on weather before i go to work and another one tonight, i will be half finished, and could even have it done monday which would be great!
I really just want them to all be over because then i can get back to HIH and being awesomesauce!
I am using my Snape/Tonks icon because the teacher who made me love history so much loved Snape! when we did Vietnam she made this huge Harry Potter reference with all the countries, everything actually made so much more sense. I love her so much she was brilliant! She might even be doing stuff at uni now which is exciting!
Oh and after work im going to post a few of my favourite pictures from the break because we got up to some hilarious shinanigans!
