Tell me...
Am I the only person in the universe like this?
To me, material things do not matter. To me, being happy, content, and at peace with everyone and everything is the most essential thing to life. To me, life is about treating others the way you want to be treated.
I think that I want what most others want....but am I wrong in thinking this way?
I don't wear jewelry.....well, except for a necklace that a friend gave to me before leaving here. (A cheap one....$9.99 was what they paid for it. I only wear it for sentimental reasons.) I don't have a big house. I don't own a luxury car. I don't care to have those things. I don't need those things to make me happy. I would love to be able to give up what I do have and just travel the country on foot (or even better, horseback) living day to day with someone that cares for me as much as I care for them. I know I will get some feedback on "how are you going to survive", but there is always a way.
To me, that is the most important thing in life. To be with someone that cares for you just as much as you care for them. Material things DO NOT matter. I would be happy ANYWHERE with someone if those kind of feelings were there. Supporting each other, caring for each other, LOVING each other...THAT is all it takes to make me happy.
