I-I don't know if 'celebrate' is the right word. . .

We do know of Halloween and some enjoy having a festival atmosphere; it's a theme that we enjoy and some have parties and events. But children do not usually go from door to door; that's done at Martinstag, and at that time they are often given treats.

We don't officially celebrate Halloween here, but we do have stores selling costumes and candy for Halloween. Kids do go door-to-door asking for candy and some people have parties, but that's about it.

In official, we don't celebrate Halloween. But in heavily touristed beach towns and such, many bars and hotels do. Mostly because it's an excuse to party!

No, not really. All Saints' Day is a day to go to church and visit graveyards to leave candles and flowers. If you went trick or treating, depending on where you went, you might get some candy but mostly just a lot of confusion.

Of course, the younger generations are picking it up, but mostly because it's another excuse reason to go out and drink.

That sounds awfully familiar to Day of the Dead in Mexico.

I do nothing special. Halloween is only a fashionable Western holiday the young people use to explain why they want to go to parties and be irresponsible!

Actually, you'd be surprised at how many older people celebrate it in the States.
