Question For: Denmark
Question:
So I was researching your relationship with, "Norge's little brother," and I discovered these little interesting tid bits:
"Around the middle of the 16th century, King Christian the III of Denmark began to impose Lutherism on all his subjects. The last Catholic bishop in Iceland was beheaded in 1550, along with two of his sons..."
" Denmark imposed harsh trade restrictions on Iceland,...".
"Denmark, however, did not provide much protection to Iceland, which was raided in 1627 by an Ottoman pirate fleet that abducted almost 300 Icelanders into slavery, in the episode known as the Turkish
Abductions."
And my personal favourite:
"In the 1780s, Denmark offered to cede Iceland to Britain in exchange for Crab Island (West Indies), and in the 1860s Iceland was considered as a compensation for British support of Denmark in the Schleswig- Holstein conflicts"
MY God Denmark you failed at being an older borther/uncle... How do you feel about this? and Iceland for England's CRABS!?!

Question For: Mainly Iceland, England but any nation can comment on Denmark's bad parenting skills.
Question: So Iceland apparently one of your governor's had this to say:
"Why does Denmark wish to be lumbered with such a burden?”
Did you think you were a burden? How did you cope with the fact Denmark was going to trade you for England's crabs?
Also England apparently you got really
interested in the Nordics when the the opportunity came for you. How did you handle this information?
