The Name Game

Time: Time-neutral
Question For: Anyone
Question: Have you ever given any consideration to what your name you would have, or you would want for yourself if of the opposite gender? For example, you woke up and found yourself to be (fe)male, and didn't want people to necessarily realize that you were... still you. Or you wished to become a drag queen ( Read more... )

I know what you're insinuating, and the answer is no.

On a purely hypothetical level, though, most likely either Victoria or Elizabeth.

I'm not insinuating anything, really. ♥

So you'd go with two of your sovreign queens then? (and I suppose it would be easier to spell than, say, Guinevere.)

Yes. (Guinevere would also be a good name; however, as you said, I fear most people would have trouble spelling it.)

A-again with the gender switching questions...?

I--I suppose it might be something like Hele, which seems to be quite a popular name these days. M-maybe Reet.

Can I ask what those names mean? They sound nice.

Well, Hele means bright and shining while Reet translates roughly as pearl. I-I don't know, which one do you think fits better?

It's very easy to wake up like that here, but I've never really thought of a girl name for myself! Jaidee is pretty popular, but I think I'd go with Suchin or Mali.

Just so long as it's not too easy to wake up like that without realizing you will first, huh?

Of course! I like being a guy right now, just like I'd be happy if I were a woman too. I don't want to randomly wake up as a girl though.

You'd stick with the same base name then?

I know a lot of people that do that, it's a good approach.

You and I have the same good thing about our names.

(Though I do generally change the spelling if I have to give a male form of mine... ^^)

Oui.

And what would the male version of your name be, my love?

State secret, hun.

(It is, though, a French name. Well, my variation. So you might be proud for that, even if... I myself can't claim much if any French blood.)
