Where does the time go?

My little Emmitt, is now a toddler..he turned 1 years old about 3 weeks ago..and he now can be found wandering around the house on 2 legs..he is a walker..he and Gaston both walked about around 1 year and 2 weeks..
He is still my thinker, not a big talker aside from the "Ga"s and Dadas..when he wants me he says "zsha zsha", he calls this out for me to answer here I am..he also like so shimmy, you tell him "show me shimmy" and he does a little shimmy dance..so cute..he understands "hungry, bath, no no, come here, gentle, show mommy milk ( drink)" but he is a pointer and a thinker..I guess with all the talking Gaston does, Emmitt just does not feel the need to right now lol..
Gaston is doing good too these days, gets a little more jealous of Emmitt now than he use to, I guess because Emmitt is bigger he sees him as not only a buddy and someone to protect, but now he is competition for toys and mommy's lap..they do love to play together though..and dance together in the back seat on the way to school, everyone bouncing in their chairs..
Emmitt now has 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on the bottom, but I am pretty sure the bottom row is about to get a couple more..lots of drool..he weighs about 19, almost 20 pounds and not sure long ..so I think he might be a tad bigger than Gaston at this same age, but not much..
Gaston turns 4 next month, which I just cannot believe...he is so so smart, and beautiful..so quick with the words..he is a challenge in his behavior sometimes, that child just has so much energy he doesn't know what to do with it..Last night I let him help make dinner, baked enchiladas, he scoops the mix on to the tortilla and sprinkles with cheese, all I do is roll them up :) He knows all his letters now, and can count up to 20 or more..it gets a little muddled after 20...He thinks he can tell time, as in "mommy it is 16:30 it is time for dinner tomorrow"..which in Gaston speak means mommy it is late it is time for dinner tonight..if he says tomorrow he means later in the day, if he says yesterday that means earlier in the day :)
We still read books before bedtime, first with Emmitt and his evening milk bottle ( almost off all the formula, my pocketbook is happy about that) and then with Gaston after Emmitt is asleep..the reading with my kids has always been super important to me, I have been known to skip the occasion baths or teeth brushing on a late night, but the books, never..I want them to love to read as much as I do..

hope this finds everyone well, fat and happy as always...
love,
B
