Seems over the past 2 years my life has either been really boring (no job, no money, no bf, plain sucking BIG TIME) or extremely hectic, fun and exciting (i.e. when, in February, within 3 weeks, I moved from Toronto to Montreal, found a job and met Francis).
These last 2 months have most likely been of the boring kind: I don't think, since I started working, more than 20 years ago, that I haven't been that long without a job. I don't mind not working and staying home trying to figure my life out: what I hate is the fact that, after more than 2 months, I am still waiting for those goddamn Employment Insurance benefits! That's just plain wrong!!! If it weren't for Francis helping me out with food and lending me money to cover my rent, I'd be on the street! Fuck!
Fortunately, things are about to change in a BIG WAY: next week will be one of the busiest I've had in a while. THANK THE LORD!!!
On Monday morning, I have a doctor's appointment for my physical: I haven't had one since September 2006, it's way overdue!!! Then, at 1 pm, I have a job interview downtown for a job as a receptionist for an IT Research company. Seems like a fun company, plus the money is pretty damn good! (BTW, I am waiting to hear from Blue Cross regarding a job I interviewed for yesterday. It went well). So, on the job front, things are looking good.
Tuesday, around 8 am, the movers will be here. My move shouldn't take too long and should be done by noon. These guys kick ass! I used them when I originally moved from Montreal to Toronto in 1999 and then when I came back home this year and they are such pros! The move should be a breeze! *cross fingers and toes*
Later that day, if my interview on Monday goes well, I will have a 2nd interview at the IT place, this time with the company President. They need the new receptionist to start on August 18...
THEN, on Wednesday, I will be meeting with a placement agency downtown regarding a position they have as a technical support somewhere... Who knows, might be something I want to do for a bit...
Finally, some action coming ahead! Since I lost my job at RGA, I have had a few interviews here and there but nothing has materialized yet... I'm becoming impatient, grrr!
Now, I truly wish everything will go as planned and that I will receive my EI $$$ very soon! Wish me luck!!!
Cheers!
