Dear Doctor,
Please do not just stare at me when I try to explain that I have a large swelling underneath my chin. First you suggested that it could be my saliva gland, then you tried to randomly blame my injections.
When I tell you that the underneath of my chin is swollen, prodding around and saying, "...It's mostly fat." makes you seem ESPECIALLY like a dick when a moment later you find the obvious bloody swelling and declare that I must be tested for Thyroid Disease.
No love,
Nathan.

P.S. Yes, it hurt. But parly because you kept jabbing me like a pin cushion.

I was meant to post this ages ago, but I've been busy (translation: Adam has been on holiday, so we've been spending time together.)

I got my blood test on friday, should hopefully find out the results by the coming friday. I was originally told to go to hospital if it got worse, but it has gone down loads if not entirely which is great, but I can feel that one side is still bigger than the other.

I did a little bit of research (trying not to scare myself) and it seems that one of the potentially common side effects of thyroid problems is depression, anxiety disorders, etc. As I have these, part of my brain is all, "Could this be why mine are so bad and irrational?" But in a way that is almost wishful thinking.

Been having a lot of shortness of breath, chest pains, sore throats, colds, etc. lately so this is kind of the icing on the shit cake.

So, fingers crossed that I don't have Thyroid Disease! As it could mean hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism or possibly even malignent cancer. Again, not trying to scare myself.

...Much.

So yeah, sorry for everyone I've kind of avoided lately - I'm thinking of you all.

depression, medical, mental health
