Today was a very long day, but the most mentionable detail is the fact that one month and a day after I turned seventeen, I´ve turned eighteen. I´ve got myself an international student id according to which I am eighteen and I can use it in Germany as well. It´s date of expiry is in a year and in a year I will be eighteen anyway, so it suits my purposes perfectly. When I come back to Germany, I will become a Chilean exchange student for a few months as that will justify me not having a German id but a Chilean one according to which I am of age.
Ali, Isi, I can hang out with you as long as I want to now, as well! And I can buy whisky. If this isn´t totally awesome, I don´t know what is.
I wanted to write the first email to all of the people back home today, but there was no time at all.
Most of the German students were in Valparaiso today and I found someone who is stupid enough to think that he can take care of both himself and me during the journey through the north. He is from Berlin, so he said that my country inpoliteness is colliding with his city inpoliteness. But he´s not able to tease me. He will have to learn how to do that if he wants to last. I haven´t teased him that much myself, but we get along very well. Let´s say I found myself someone to protect me from Vanessa during the journey through the north. Niklas already promised me he would do so without even knowing exactly what he was getting himself into.
As for Vanessa, she is AWOL. I didn´t see her today as Johann had disposed of her before he discovered that she was to go on the trip to Valparaiso, so I found a few other people to talk to, most notably Niklas.
